An old favorite, dusted off for today's Photo Friday theme: Abstract. I've always loved the blur photos. When I was a kid, I'd wander around taking bulb exposures of the neighborhood Christmas lights. There's something wonderful about just opening up the shutter, opening up to the randomness of life, and spinning around, letting the light smear across the film. This shot was taken on Congress Avenue in Austin, Texas, in March of 2001. It was a moment in time when life was just starting to blur, leaving lines on my own personal canvas, lines that stretch all the way to now. |
