Congratulations to Owen and Greg!

Owen is a friend of mine from back in the early web days. He and his longtime boyfriend Greg were married at City Hall during the February of Love. Last night they made it official, with friends and family and a minister and a ceremony and rings and Chinese food and cake and everything.

Last night I saw two people, deeply in love, pledge in front of their friends, family, and God, to love and cherish each other for as long as they live. Last Tuesday eleven states passed anti-gay legislation to prevent exactly this sort of thing. I can't help but wonder what they're so scared of.
