Today is Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. I love Jewish holidays because they're all about stopping your normal life and thinking about something. At least on this one we don't have to fast. Instead, it's all about the apples and honey. The sweetness of life, baby.

"Another popular practice of the holiday is Tashlikh (casting off). We walk to flowing water, such as a creek or river, on the afternoon of the first day and empty our pockets into the river, symbolically casting off our sins. This practice is not discussed in the Bible, but is a long-standing custom." –Judaism 101: Rosh Hashanah

Today the metaphorical book of life is opened. May you all be inscribed for another year.
